Sara Ronco is a PhD candidate in Methods and Models for Economic Decisions at the University of Insubria and a Research Manager at the European University of Well-Being (EUniWell), based at the University of Florence. Her research interests include development economics, international trade, sustainable global value chains, the bioeconomy, food security, and issues related to poverty and inequality.

She has collaborated with the CadenAgro programme at the University of Costa Rica, the European Institute for the Mediterranean (IEMed), and the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA). At EMEA, Sara has contributed to several EU-funded projects, focusing on the socio-economic impact of COVID-19, EU–Africa partnerships, and innovative research on neuroscience-based policymaking.

She has also been involved in research on just and sustainable transitions and climate finance, working with a range of international organisations, philanthropic institutions, and think tanks.
